We’ve a few announcements to make you aware of as we prepare to enter the last few months of the year.
With effect from this Sunday 5th October the bar will be closing at 8pm not 9pm. We will also be reviewing our seasonal opening times in the run up to Christmas and further updates will be provided closer to the time.
The Good Beer Guides 2026 have now arrived and can be purchased from the bar at a discounted price of £13 to Whippet customers, please place your order at the bar. There is limited stock available and these will be sold on a first come first served basis.
As mentioned previously, we will be changing one of our hand pulls this week so that from now until the spring, we will be offering two dark beers (stouts/porters/milds) and just a single cider line.
Finally, following significant increases this year in running costs and taxes, it is with regret that we need to announce that the discounts offered to CAMRA members and Blue Light Card holders will be reduced with immediate effect.
The discounts we will now be offering are as follows:
Pint – 25p, Half Pint – 10p.
Unfortunately the well publicised financial burdens on pubs means that these changes are necessary in the short to medium term so that we can continue to provide you with and offer you our high quality ales.
We will look at the discounts offered in the coming months and hope to be able to restore these to their previous levels at some point next year. We’d like to thank you all for your continued support and custom.
